This project is to reduce the mortality rate for infants and mothers in rural communities. In order to achieve this mission, we need to promote health education for mother/child healthcare, nutrition, family planning and environmental sanitation (drainage systems, latrines, clean water supply).
The outreach of the project continues until every household has a latrine. We want to encourage the following areas:
- Rural healthcare project
- Community involvement
- Awareness/education at the grassroots level, along with community organization programs
- Self-employment projects, especially in agriculture and animal husbandry wich contains more protein content for their daily food
We will provide supervision and in-service training for project holders in order to help then operate on a profitable basis. At present we want to start self-employment projects in the following areas:
- cereal and rice cultivation
- bread making
- sales outlets
- fish farming/fishery
- weaving and handicrafts
Because man shall not live by bread alone, the rural development outreach in area of rural health, education and agriculture is also a tool towards evangelism in a world suffering from lack of spiritual and physical food and health.
