Monetary donations aren't the only way you can help the women, children, and uneducated in the Congo - the poorest African nation in existence today. Your time and your talents are just as precious to us, as are your donation items.
Understanding the Problem
50% of the population is under 15 years of age;
Literacy is very low (55%, plus many children, have never attended or completed school);
In rural areas, over 30% of the children suffer from chronic malnutrition;
The Congo suffers from the world’s deadliest conflict since WWII; 6 million+ deaths, human
rights abuses, torture and sexual violence;
Many do not have access to clean drinking water
Being Part of the Solution
Your school, church, or business can raise the money necessary to supply five families at a time with the livestock, feed and education necessary to create a higher standard of living - for themselves and exponentially, for others - by setting up a paper recycling dumpster at your facility.
The proceeds from recycling will fund livestock, feed, shelter and education, known collectively as The Pig Project.
Knowing the Value of Results
The Pig Project, Mamalata Village, and Lukula Building Project is a three-pronged approach to:
